With his illustrations for the new translation of Rudyard Kipling&#8217;s &#8220;Jungle Books&#8221;, Baltscheit has succeeded in creating a true masterpiece. The review of ZEIT particularly emphasized the &#8220;sensually wild&#8221; quality of his pictures, which, as a long overdue replacement of the sweet Disney animated film, put the literary classic in the right light again.
